:On the final day of the UNEP/MAP Working Group on “Ocean Economy / Sustainable Finance,” Plan Bleu concluded a series of key discussions to shape the future of sustainable finance in the Mediterranean. The event focused on aligning financial mechanisms with sustainability goals, phasing out harmful subsidies, developing a Common Mediterranean Green Language, and integrating cities into sustainable finance frameworks. These efforts aim to make green finance a central part of regional policies, supporting the revision of the Mediterranean Strategy for Sustainable Development. Plan Bleu will continue to advance sustainable finance through research, capacity-building, and policy innovation across the region.
