Organised by the Climate and Atmosphere Research Center (CARE-C) of the Cyprus Institute, the 8th MedCLIVAR Conference is the flagship event of the MedCLIVAR Network, bringing together the scientific community with the aim of fostering a multidisciplinary understanding of climate evolution in the Mediterranean.
The conference addresses the atmospheric, marine, and terrestrial components of the climate system, considering timescales ranging from paleoclimate reconstructions to future climate projections.
MedCLIVAR2026 also serves as an important forum for presenting and advancing Mediterranean-focused research and networking initiatives, including MedEWSa, EMME-CARE, PREVENT, FutureMed, MEDUSSE, and others. The conference provides a unique platform to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange among these projects, strengthening synergies within the regional climate research community.
