Day of the Mediterranean 2025: We need to talk, Mediterranean
The Day of the Mediterranean is celebrated every year on 28 November, marking the launch of the Barcelona Process in 1995 – a historic initiative that laid the foundations for Euro-Mediterranean cooperation, and later gave birth to the Union for the Mediterranean.
The Day of the Mediterranean provides a yearly opportunity to promote intercultural exchanges, celebrate cooperation, embrace diversity and strengthen ties between our two shores.
This year’s campaign focuses on the power of dialogue: between cultures, generations, communities and even with ourselves.
