The pan-Mediterranean digital campaign to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the UNEP/MAP follows its route also in 2026 to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Barcelona Convention through a more and more rich constellation of events around the Mediterranean Sea

The Copernicus Land Monitoring Service (CLMS) General Assembly, organised jointly by the European Environment Agency (EEA) and the Joint Research Centre (JRC), brings together users, scientists, policymakers, and service providers to exchange knowledge, showcase applications, and shape the future of land monitoring.

The 2026 theme focuses on the Mediterranean region, highlighting key climate change impacts and response priorities, including:

  • Water resources and drought monitoring
  • Wildfires and land degradation
  • Emergency management and resilience
  • Environmental and societal applications of Earth observation

Participants will gain insights into how CLMS supports decision-making at European and global levels.
