Join us in the pan-Mediterranean digital campaign to celebrate the 50th anniversary of UNEP/MAP through a constellation of events around the Mediterranean Sea

This joint training by the European Centre for Medium‑Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) and the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) will take place on 16–17 December 2025 at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina. It will explore how climate and atmospheric data can be harnessed to address two of the region’s most pressing challenges: advancing the renewable energy transition and protecting our shared cultural heritage. The two‑day programme will equip participants from across the Mediterranean with practical skills to use data and tools from the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) and Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS). Combining scientific expertise with regional insights, the event will demonstrate how these freely available resources can inform decision‑making, support climate adaptation strategies, and safeguard World Heritage sites from the growing risks of climate change.
